Vladimir Slutsker,

born in Moscow on August 27, 1956, President, international World Fighting Kyokushin Organization, prominent political and public figure of Russia.

Vladimir Slutsker was a Member of The Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2002–2010 representing the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvashi Republic. He was a deputy chairman of the Industrial Policy Committee of the upper house. Since 2006 he is a deputy chairman of the Joint Commission on Nationalities Policy and Relations between State and Religious Associations affiliated with the Federation Council. He was awarded Order of Honour in 2007.

Vladimir Slutsker was elected President of The Russian Jewish Congress in 2004 and 2005 and he acted as Vice-President of the European Jewish Congress in 2005. Since 2008 he is a representative of Russia in the international parliamentary organization – European Friends of Israel that includes over 1,000 European parliamentarians where he heads its Governing Council. Since 2012 he is one of the founders and President of the Israeli Jewish Congress.

He became interested in Karate Kyokushinkai in his student days in 1975 and five years later he passed the test for 1st Dan rank while Luke Hollander, President of European Kyokushin Federation, was his examiner. He has 4th Dan at present.

Vladimir Slutsker is a co-author of «The Fighting Karate of Kyokushinkai» published in 2000 as well as of series of guidance manuals. In cooperation with heads of national federations of Russia, USA, and Switzerland he founded international World Fighting Kyokushin Organization.
