The Kyokushin style has been created after the Second World War by Masutatsu Oyama – the Korean of a Japanese descent. In 1954 in Japan the first Kyokushin doje was opened. Nowadays it is one of the most popular karate styles – more than 12 millions fighters in more than 140 countries of the world go in for Kyokushin.
WFKO is chaired by the president of organization Vladimir Sloutsker (4th dan, Russia) and the senior vice-president Alexander Tanushkin (7th dan, Russia). Among the WFKO founders are also vice-presidents Eddie Gabatuler (6th dan, Switzerland) and Michael Monaco (6th dan, the USA).
«WFKO» is created upon an initiative of the leading Russian and international Kyokushin karate experts. Among “WFKO” ‘s goals is the further promotion of the Kyokushin karate as one of the most powerful martial art, as an entertaining sport, healthy lifestyle, fitness, and sport promotion.
